Visually complex and thought-provoking compositions flood RERO’s repertoire. His distinctive visual style transcends the mediums on which he offers up ironic, amusing, and often cynical messages.
RERO employs concise statements with an ever-present “strikethrough” making the statements both undeniably truthful and comically contradictory. Strictly using the type face Verdana he creates a world of images composed of words. His typography introduces ideas that are both paradoxical, ironic, and honest.
For the past 3 years, RERO has established his work through his innovative approach to street art. Initially introduced to graffiti as a teenager he grew familiar with the spray can, though eventually he felt limited and began exploring imagery through words. His work remains true to the core values of graffiti, confrontation, the aesthetics of destruction and the idea of appropriation.
He lives and works in Paris.
